Elizabeth Chatham is an executive leader in the Australian health services sector, with C-suite and board director roles at significant health institutions, recognised for her service to maternity care, women’s and children’s health. She brings more than 25 years’ experience in driving operational efficiencies and innovation, health governance and running multi-million-dollar budgets, improving health services across ACT, NSW and Victoria.

Isabelle Oderberg (Co-Founder, Executive Director)
Journalist, Author, Advocate, Company Director, NFP Leader
Isabelle Oderberg GAICD MICDA worked as a journalist for two decades in newswires across Europe and Asia and was Australia’s first social media editor for Melbourne’s Herald Sun. Her work has appeared in The Age/SMH, Guardian, ABC, Meanjin and elsewhere. She has worked as a media and communications strategist across the not-for-profit sector. She is the former editor of Pro Bono News and Deputy CEO of the Public Interest Journalism Initiative. She is the author of the book Hard to Bear: Investigating the science and silence of miscarriage.

Dr Jade Bilardi (Co-founder)
Dr Jade Bilardi is an adjunct Associate Professor at Monash University and co-lead of the Miscarriage Australia research group. Having had her own experiences of miscarriage, she is passionate about improving support for people affected by early pregnancy loss. Her research focuses on the health and wellbeing of those affected by pregnancy loss and improving healthcare support in this area.

Cherisse Buzzacott
Midwife, health advocate, consultant
Cherisse Buzzacott is an Arrernte woman, midwife and mother from Alice Springs. She is the Chair of the Rhodanthe Lipsett Indigenous Midwifery Charitable Fund, a pioneer in the Birthing on Country, former Head of Health at Children’s Ground and is now Managing Director and Co-Founder of Speakwrite Consulting. -
Dr Melanie Keep (Co-founder)
Melanie Keep is an Associate Professor at the Sydney School of Health Sciences of The University of Sydney. She is passionate about using research to understand how parents can be supported to navigate life following early pregnancy loss, and advocate for changes to enable this. Her research is collaborative and has included workplace support, peer and social support (including online support groups), and physical activity after miscarriage. She loves and misses her daughter in heaven.

Samantha Stevens
Executive and strategic leader
Samantha Stevens has 30 years’ experience in corporate affairs, spanning the energy, resources, industrials and financial services sectors. Sam is currently Executive General Manager, Corporate Affairs at Origin Energy and is a Non-Executive Director of Origin Foundation. Samantha was formerly Head of Corporate Affairs at Orica, Vice President of Media Relations at BHP and held senior Corporate Affairs roles at two of Australia’s major banks.
