Isabelle Oderberg (Chair & Co-Founder)
Isabelle Oderberg worked as a journalist for two decades in newswires across Europe and Asia and was Australia’s first social media editor for Melbourne’s Herald Sun. Her work has appeared in The Age/SMH, Guardian, ABC, Meanjin and elsewhere. She is a former editor of Pro Bono News and has worked as a media and communications strategist across the not-for-profit sector. She is now the Deputy CEO of the Public Interest Journalism Initiative. Hard to Bear: Investigating the science and silence of miscarriage is her first book.

Dr Jade Bilardi (Co-founder. Research Lead)
Dr Jade Bilardi an ARC DECRA Senior Research Fellow at Monash University and co-lead of the Miscarriage Australia research group. Having had her own experiences of miscarriage, she is passionate about improving support for people affected by early pregnancy loss. Her research focuses on the health and wellbeing of those affected by pregnancy loss and improving healthcare support in this area.

Dr Melanie Keep (Co-Founder, Grants and Sponsorship Lead)
Melanie Keep is an Associate Professor at the Sydney School of Health Sciences of The University of Sydney. She is passionate about using research to understand how parents can be supported to navigate life following early pregnancy loss, and advocate for changes to enable this. Her research is collaborative and has included workplace support, peer and social support (including online support groups), and physical activity after miscarriage. She loves and misses her daughter in heaven.

Shashi Stevering (Finance Lead)
Shashi Stevering is a qualified professional finance executive with over 15 years experience in listed, large private and not-for-profit entities. She has held various senior roles providing financial reporting, strategy, planning and risk management expertise. Having gone through her own personal experience of miscarriages, Shashi is passionate about raising awareness for early pregnancy loss to be recognised as an important personal and workplace wellbeing matter.

Alice Gibson (Communications and Operations Lead)
With a distinguished background in government and social policy, Alice brings extensive experience in managing programs and initiatives, along with a strong commitment to community advocacy. Alice's expertise in influencing policy through successful lobbying efforts and dedication to supporting diverse communities align with the mission of the Australian Early Pregnancy Loss Coalition. Holding a Master of Human Rights from Curtin University, Alice is dedicated to driving impactful change and furthering organisational objectives.
